"The Simpsons" is an American TV show created by Matt Groening. It first debuted on The Tracey Ullman Show on April 19, 1987, and were featured as a series of short animations for Three Seasons. Due to its growing popularity, "The Simpsons" was later created as a half hour show on Fox Broadcasting Company.
The Simpsons was a very significant series in American history. For one,it is the longest airing animated and primetime TV series in US history, with well over 500 episodes. The Simpsons demonstrated a reflection of the American culture, the American dream, politics, and were even responsible for creation of new words and phrases in the dictionary, such as the word "D-oh!"
