"Mickey's Christmas Carol" is a short animated film released in 1983 as an adaptation of Charles Dickens' 1843 novel 'A Christmas Carol'. Mickey Mouse starred as Bob Cratchet while scrooge McDuck starred as Ebeneezer Scrooge.
This was the first feature film of Mickey Mouse in over 30 years since the 1953 film "The Simple Things". Clarence Nash, the original voice actor for Donald Duck, had his final appearance on this film before his death in 1985, and was the only original voice actor still alive at that time.
"Mickey's Christmas Carol" was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 1984, and was the first nomination for a Mickey Mouse short since "Mickey and the Seal" (1948).
