Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) is the first full-length animated feature length film produced by Walt Disney and is based off of the German fairytale from the Brothers Grimm fairytales. On its debut, it instantly became one of the most famous classic films of all time. It premiered at the Carthay Circle Theatre on December 21, 1937, and was released to theaters nationwide February 4, 1938. It was one of two Disney films (other being Fantasia) to be included in the American Film Institute's list of the 100 greatest American films of all time in 1997 and again in 2007. In 1989, it was included in the US National Film Registry considered to being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". This is a true cultural treasure and I am thrilled to own such a historical piece!
