I am quite ecstatic to have finally found a great cel of Donald and Tootsie from Donald's Penguin. This is an original production cel with the original Corvoisier background set-up.

First released August 11, 1939, this short was written by Carl Barks (the "duck man") and directed by Jack King with Clarence Nash as the voice actor for Donald Duck.

The episode was later considered to be extremely controversial later in the years due to increasing political awareness of violence. When angry, Donald points a shot gun at Tootsie, which later he drops and it goes off on its own. Once it was first released to DVD, they omitted the scene with the shotgun going off near the end of the episode.

I absolutely LOVED Tootsie. She is by far one of my favorite minor characters in the early Disney shorts. I just really wished they would have made more film shorts of her.
